Tiny Telescope is looking for an ambitious Business Unit Manager to lead and expand our activities in the rapidly growing drone market.
In this role, you will combine strategic business development with strong customer engagement. You have a solid understanding of the aerospace and drone sectors, both in the Netherlands and internationally, and can identify customer needs and connect them to Tiny Telescope’s portfolio of projects, products, and technologies.
You understand procurement processes, actively seek new opportunities, and enjoy building relationships through customer visits, trade shows, conferences, and business meetings. Working closely with our technical teams, you will translate market opportunities into actionable product and technology development plans, ensuring that Tiny Telescope delivers solutions with the right balance of performance, quality, and cost.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of Tiny Telescope’s drone business unit.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the aerospace and drone sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Understand customer requirements and align them with Tiny Telescope’s capabilities and project portfolio.
- Monitor procurement programs, tenders, and market developments.
- Represent Tiny Telescope at trade shows, industry events, and business meetings.
- Translate market demands into product and technology development initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making and business growth.
Your Profile:
- Strong knowledge of the drone and aerospace markets.
- Experience in business development, sales, or program management.
- Understanding of procurement and tendering processes.
- Commercially driven, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic startup/scaleup environment.
- Willingness to travel and engage directly with customers and partners.
