Leveraging the exceptional optical performance of Tiny Telescope technology, we are developing a handheld medical device for high-accuracy examination of the human eye. The system combines optical and infrared illumination, precision imaging, data acquisition, and advanced image processing to support the detection of eye diseases and the determination of prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses.

In this role, you will oversee the complete system development, from requirements definition and architecture through testing, qualification, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with specialists in optics, electronics, software, mechanics, and medical applications to deliver a robust and clinically valuable product.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a high-accuracy optical and infrared eye imaging system.
  • Define system requirements, architecture, and performance budgets.
  • Coordinate development of optical, electronic, software, and mechanical subsystems.
  • Develop imaging and measurement solutions for vision correction applications.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable medical device standards and regulations.
  • Define and oversee verification, validation, test, and qualification activities.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary specialists and external partners.
  • Translate customer, clinical, and regulatory requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Your Profile:

  • Background in medical imaging, biomedical engineering, optics, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with the development of complex imaging systems.
  • Understanding of optical and infrared imaging technologies.
  • Familiarity with medical device development and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with system engineering, verification, and qualification programs.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills.
  • Comfortable working across multiple disciplines in a startup/scaleup environment.
  • Passion for developing technology that improves healthcare outcomes.

What We Offer:

  • A unique opportunity to develop next-generation medical imaging technology.
  • A multidisciplinary role combining optics, electronics and software in healthcare applications.
  • Significant responsibility and technical leadership within a fast-growing high-tech company with enthusiastic startup/scaleup culture and motivated colleagues.
  • Flexible employment from part-time to full-time.
